Growing Slush Mint Cake is a challenging, high-yield pursuit best suited for intermediate to expert growers due to its unique growth patterns and high potency. This strain is vigorous and exhibits a ‘leggy’ or stretchy growth profile, particularly during the vegetative phase and early flowering. This stretch makes it ideal for the SCROG (Screen of Green) method, which is recommended to achieve the highest possible indoor yields of 500 to 650 grams per square meter. The plants also respond well to LST and HST to manage height.
Slush Mint Cake features a rapid flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks. The cultivar can reach XXL yields, producing around 1000 grams per plant outdoors in warm, sunny, and dry climates. Crucially, due to the rock-hard density of the buds, strict environmental control is required: indoor growers must maintain dry conditions of 40 to 50 Relative Humidity (RH) during the flowering phase to prevent bud rot and mold build-up. Supporting the heavy blooms with nets, yo-yos, or rope is also highly recommended.
