Great seeds..have grown a lot of autos from here and am very pleased…pretty much 10 weeks for flower…5 weeks veg…8..9 ounces dried..1500w led..one plant…the last 2 pics are my 4 plants scrog…6.5 weeks in flower.
John Lee –
I’ve grown some of the frostiest buds from these feminised gelato seeds. The plants didn’t need much particular attention and were simple to care for. For a medium-sized plant, the output was quite satisfactory, and flowering took about 8 to 10 weeks. The buds had a thick covering of crystals, brilliant orange hairs, and a stunning green colour. The terpene profile is amazing, citrussy, earthy, and sweet with undertones of vanilla and mint. Before settling into a gentle, calming body buzz, the high initially produces a euphoric and creative brain affect.
BusyByz –
Gelato is my go to strain. I’ve had 100% generations rates for several seasons. I grow out doors near the Great Lakes and these seeds always perform better than any other strain I’ve tried I’m ordering 25 this year lol
Byron Waldock –
This is my go to strain. 100% germination rate, every year, even with 3 year old seeds. Grows great outdoors in southern Ontario though I had to take plants early one year cause of mould from poor weather. I still saved the vast vast majority of the plants. Gelato weed puts me down hard cause I’ve cut back on my smoking. I love this stuff and I’m getting more this year and I’m also going to try Gelato #41. I’ll post about it next winter
DROPTOP420 –
Good results indoor and out.
Very tasty dense nugz smell like sweet desert.
Jimmy Harvey –
I just ordered gelato féminized seeds . So excited to try this strain! Last time i ordered white widow feminized, turned out well!
Russell K Gordon Pametnjakovic’ (verified owner) –
My legal medical harvest of 5 turned out well, and 2 were Gelatos from Crop Kind Seeds. Though a field-trained agronomist, I found it like the others, easy to grow, though I use a much simpler germination method, these and a Hash Plant and Afghan fem popped and grew right up, 100% germination of the 4 seeds. Enjoy all 3 strains from them. Dwarf Low Rider is in the 5 foot tent. I’ll let yoou know….
Russell K Gordon Pametnjakovic’ (verified owner) –
I am very happy to have 2 legal medical Gelatos, plus a Hash Plant, Afghan fem and CBD Kush, 5 plants total. It is, however, fair comment and criticism to point out the inaccuracy of their “8-10 weeks” to harvest. It was 24 weeks. When inquiring to Crop King Seeds about technical questions, they are not authorized to contact the grower, and have no information. Get it.
stephen smith –
Im so excited to see how she finishes! mine started to bloom and I’m loving them
Dexter –
Grow for 30 years this is one of the best plants I ever grow high yield and not that hard to grow every seed germinated
Reefer Chiefer –
The fastest growing plants I have ever grown. The strain has incredible vigor .
Chris –
This plant grows like no plant before, DO NOT grow it next to other varieties as it will take all the light. It’s the most beautiful plant even in veg my phenotype has purple stripes up all stems and huge vibrant leaves. It’s not hard to grow at all, but it does grow real tall real fast so avoid long veg times especially in a tent. I would recommend this for new growers looking for very high end pot
Dboe –
Fast delivery. All 5 of them popped with thicker than normal stems😛
Rubinho –
This is my 3rd year of Gelato harvest. Grew 4 in 71 litres tubs. Huge buds and beautiful plants. Harvest approx per plant was 485 grams. Impressive plant.
mike –
All 5 seeds germinated quickly. Planted in soil (no ferts) when 3/4″ long. All 5 failed to grow. Stay away from this strain. I’ve been growing for > 30 years, and I’ve only seen this happen twice. Both times were crop king seeds. 🙁
Myles Spooner –
these are amazing genetics just as expected im very happy. i used ck germ method with 3 of 5 success rate… when i contacted them they happily sent out a fresh 5 pack and said it must have been a bad seal in the first pack. The second 5 pack had 100% success rate. Overall great genetics and great customer service highly recommend
Carl Davis –
I’m enjoying this! It has rich sweet flavors and a very heavy but aromatic musky scent. bSmoking this strain makes me feel calm and comfortable, but not too heavy! Moderate THC amounts can be handy throughout my day. I wouldn’t mind getting high the fuck out. Buds were fine, had the right amount when I harvested them, nothing too wild. Easy, handy to develop!
don –
Seemingly easy to grow, but both grows i tried, i found the buds never did fill out as much as expected. Am growing OG, Green Crack and Gelato side by side and both OG and G.C. both have much more impressive buds. Maybe Gelato needs a bit different feeding schedule, i dont know.
Dwayne –
I went through 4 generations of this awesome bud through cloning smoking my last 1/2 oz now bin curing a year and a half and still tastes and stones great on it right now in fact.Love it.
B0ne –
Had five seeds ended up with four healthy plants about 5 weeks in looking good
Kevin –
I started these extremely late in the Midwest USA..very hot and very humid and I even planted these in the soil..the plants were FANTASTIC..the buds were frosty and had a nice orange aroma..but after I cut all 3 and allowed them to dry some they took on a powerful gasoline smell..like straight unleaded gasoline..gnats were stuck all over the resin covered buds..
Chris –
Unbelievable!!!! This was a monster!!! I was expecting a giant to come crawling down this tree. It produced almost 1.5 – 2 LBS per plant. Great quality. I grew organic, provided a very clean but sharp high that fades very gracefully without any after cloudiness. Highly recommended but be aware of the size the trunk was the diameter of an orange.
For the full photo period
RL –
One of the better strains Ive seen. This girl can be stretchy, but don’t that spook you. Supercrop her and you’ll get above average yields of potent, delicious pot. Under 1000W in a 4×4 tent, Ive gotten over 2 pounds from 4 supercropped plants.
It’s my record. Im not a very sophisticated grower, Im sure some of you out there will do even better.
Blade –
It look great
Ty –
Disregard my previous review. Although I only ended up with three out of five seeds germinating, after harvesting, I have to say, I am extremely happy with the quality. Great high, nice taste, nice smell, and I didn’t find the plants difficult to grow for a first time.
Old$chool –
Wonderful strain indoors.super easy to grow.dense heavy weight nugs.definatly a recent favorite.i love crop king seeds.its the only seed company I order from anymore.
Luke –
This strain is really good for back pain
JOHN MONTO –
I’ve grown the gelato three times now. It’s been my favorite for the last year. they say it’s difficult to grow but it’s my nature to obsess about my plants so I think that’s what it takes. But the yield was pretty good for a smaller growing plant. I really didn’t notice a difference in size. but the buds stacked up nicely and they were firm and sticky. I use the trimmings for butter. VERY STRONG.
Chase –
Germination method worked for these seeds really well. Will leave second review after harvested
Kevin –
Got a pack of 5 these grow fast and bushy, the smell is amazing I’m in the middle of week 4 of flower and they are frosty!!! And starting to get chunky, love crop king genetics can’t wait for this run to Finnish so I can finally try it!! And I have clones from both the indica and sativa dominant phenos, that I took off them before switching them to 12/12 so I’m gonna run them again such a beautiful strain!
Jamie –
Nice looking plants but unfortunately, only 2 of 5 seeds cracked. Currently growing in Okanagan in a greenhouse. One phenotype was dominant Indica and the other was dominant Sativa. No problem growing organically, heavy feeder and drinker. Took well to heavy topping. Both plants have hit the top of the greenhouse and are in the 8 foot range. Just starting to bud on August 15 as daylight drops to 14 hours. Will report back when yield and quality established.
CJ –
indoor grow 16 weeks from seed to Harvest, I don’t pull my plants until i start seeing Amber trichomes. I have an 8 ft tent i let this grow . By harvest they were past the 7 ft mark. 4 plants in a 4×4 tent . Thats to small . they did produce great smoke. Very strong and clean high..
Michigan Hydro –
Gelato is an easy grow. No problems with seeds and 100% germination rate so far with 2 different grows. The smell is not strong compared to some other strains during flower. CKS did a good job on this strain, good yielder and some seriously sweet smelling, kick ass medicine in just 8-9 weeks of flowering. Very sticky. Never had any trouble receiving seeds from CKS in Michigan. Thumbs up.
Zac (verified owner) –
So I waited until the entire grow was done to review this flower.
It is a little bit finnicky but in the end produces some of the best flowers I have ever grown and i used to grow commercial cannabis for the state of Washington. The Flowers take on a little tiny bit of a purplish hue at the very end other than that they are very compact and covered in resin from the very beginning. The high is very strong and is both kind of heady and couch lock. You feel it the most in the body and behind the eyes it produces flowers that are definitely over 20% THC.
I wish they would allow us to post pictures because these are truly some wonderful flowers and I will grow them again!
Mikie –
novice time grower complete newbie here, planted outdoors nothing special just seed in dirt. (compost mix) Plants are near 7 feet, creeping over my neighbors fence and still a lot of growing left in the season, Looks like this will be a HUGE yield no flowers as of yet but the plant is bigger then any other strain i have grown.
paul –
Bought 5 only 2 grew . 10 for 10 using another seed company. BUT the two plants that made it to flower are doing great. One of the two was a triple leaf mutant that has been cloned . The clones are super healthy and the buds are stacking up nicely.
Buday Judit –
I was expecting a little delayed from the delivery but amazingly, I got my seeds with in 3 days. I am excited with my upcoming harvest.
So I am hoping for a good hit..Thanks CK!
Khossrov –
Out of seven seeds I got one germinated, luckily I was able to make multiple clones, so it will last me for a few months. My first lady has already started singing happily, I love her smell and the kisses are so tasty.
HerbGrowingLegal –
Amazing strain to run. Did well with topping / training. HEAVY feeder with amazing terp profile.
Phenos came out different but every single one was amazing in its own way.
Ran these for my first grow and knocked it out of park. However with this strain make sure you have the perfect conditions !
michael –
absolute fire, not hard to grow.
Shawn Dayment –
5/5 seeds germinated and all plants are healthy. Growing in a 30 gallon pot outdoors and they get 10-12 hours of direct sunlight every day. I wish you guys had a customer gallery to share customer photos. Grew your White Widow last year and is an amazing high!
Dann –
Ordered 5 – Got 7. I’ve been growing for 6 years now. I grew in 15 gallon radical bags with Coco, soil and earthworm castings mix. I like experimenting so I tried a different nutrient line up this time. I used advanced nutrients complete line up Sensi Coco line. I grew four on GH line up and the other three on advanced nutrients. After this side by side, I have resolved several things. One, I am now a firm believer and user of advanced nutrients. Two, your Gelato seeds are the best genetics I have grown with in six years. Phenomenal growth and yield. They produced a very rich Berry smell. The high is very strong but not debilitating. I found 3 pheno’s with a slight genetic variation but nothing outside what is acceptable. Yield was phenomenal. Final yield has not been in taken yet but easily over 2+ pounds per light. One of the things that I liked about this the most is the stem structure is very strong. Another great point is no larf. All the lower and internal buds were usable. The amount of staking was reduced because of this. Trimming was wonderful. Just the right amount of leaves. Wish I could send pictures of softball size fruit. Ten weeks is the latest you want to run. Lower the temps to 68-70 in the final 3 weeks to really bring out the the purple and tighten the all ready naturally tight buds into purple rocks. If you’re thinking of buying these seeds-don’t! Just do it. Wonderful grow. Thanks CropKing.
Chris –
I’m just over 6 weeks into flowering Gelato, Green Crack, and Crown Royale. This plant is so thick and hearty, it’s making the others look a bit small. These buds are so frosty, and the sugar leaves are thickly covered as well. I’ve only cracked the one seed, so I’m hoping the other seeds will produce the same pheno. I’ve not been this excited to get close to harvest in a long time!
Tony –
Just harvested 3 Gelato fem plants. Grew them inside in a tent under 750 watt LED light. Strange thing is one of the plants buds have a lot of seeds. All three in the same place all fed the same but one has seeds. I put one random seed in water, then paper towels, and next day the tap root. My question is are these seeds going to be like the fem plant from which they came?
Richard letellier –
Dont think about this one just add it to the cart! It says experienced grow but it was one of the easiest strains ive grown, roots fast and strong!!! Great smell and taste! GET IT 4 SURE! I used general hydroponic 3 part nutes!
Joshua Bucklin –
Nice genetics on this one good job cropking!
Don –
Last summer was my first attempt outdoors or in general. I do have a green thumb but in a greenhouse I pulled 2 to 3 elbows a pc. Popped using the kings directions on 420 with 100% rate including the extras he hooked it up with and went in ground June 2nd. They finished in zone 5 just in time . Abt late October. It did get cold fast here but the gelato handled it and just turned purple. I made a ton of hash which everyone says is better than a dispensary. Can’t go wrong with Gelato
Evan –
Just made my first purchase of 5 seeds, so excited for them.
Joseph cantrell –
Seeds came late but arrived gave me extra and also answering quickly when I had any questions good job crop Kings the price to get good genetics is worth it will be looking forward to this grow
Paul –
The quality is outstanding but im struggling to get large yields indoor. I read that these plants need humidity. Is that true in flower also? Any pointers would be appreciated! Thanks!
Mo –
Popped four, 2 grew short and bushy with small buds, the other two tall and lanky with large buds. Very interesting plants to grow. No trouble at all. I would order more, but the recent large increase in prices and The large credit card fee has made it uneconomical to continue buying here. 5 seeds for 95 dollars delivered is obscene. Sorry CK I loves ya but it seems like greed has set in.
Tony –
Started 3 seeds and they are doing great. They are going into 4th week of flowering. Crop king seeds are great and have never had issues with them not sproting. Will continue buying from them.
Uncle Charlie –
I popped only one of these, but I’m really impressed with her. Very easy grow in 3 gallon fabric pot with FF soil and nutes. I kept her short, topped once and sent her to flower after only 35 days. Finished in just 85 days. Not a huge yield but it was descent. Lots of frost and a smooth taste. I recommend this strain………Thanks King!
Vjera Čeh –
I did not find them hard to grow. As what I am reading those reviews with their germinating issues and failed to harvest. I can assure you their seeds are quality. Maybe those with issues are those who plant them in a wrong way. Please be guided from their customer service representative on how you can solve your issues. Im very happy with my weed! Thanks
Leroy Anderson –
IDK What happened to my last review. I’m new to the world of growing. I purchased the Gelato Seeds with enthusiasm. My friend said that I was crazy to pick the hardest plant to grow. Well I germinated 4 and all popped. I’m on my 3 week of veg and they are looking lush and green with big fan leaves. I can’t wait to start flowering them in 3 more weeks. Thank you Cropkingseeds for having a video on how to germinate your seeds.
peter s. –
started 2 gelatos, the seeds were very small. followed starting instructions and left in veg. for 3 months 1 week. they grew 24 in. high and with lst, stretched them almost 4 ft. wide. now into 4 wk. of flower and they stretched another 9 in. they r massive. have them in a 5×5, 2 8oow cobs, full nuits once a wk, full water with cal mag once a wk. and full water with mollasses once a wk. i full feed with nuits; 3 days later water with cal mag, full feed, water with mollasses.
Ralph Rivera –
It’s a tough strain and recovered from every battle that came her way. The smell of this gelato is WONDERFUL. It’s a sweet, almost berry-ish smell. I can’t wait for it to dry, cure and smoke it. Gelato has definitely earned its spot for me.
Willie Bailey –
She was not as big as the Gelato in my first grow. Also the buds are not as big as the first time, but they are covered in trichomes. Plant was resilient throughout its cycle, no fuss. A whole cluster fuck of flavor just roles down your throat and sweet and creamy after taste stands out!
Samuel Murphy –
I never really had any difficulties with the grow. Fairly resilient plant. It has a nice sweet and dank smelling buds. I would say a day time smoke. Definitely will grow this strain again!
Keith Bell –
Gelato is a nice plant to grow. She is really vigorous and lush and has a lot of side stems.
This weed is a bit more hazy. It got me really energetic, also very stoned. I’m very happy overall, it tastes great and is very strong!
Gerald Morgan –
This is my second grow with this strain. This weed is even better. This time it has more of the delicious taste of ice cream. Although she smelled exactly the same as the first one i did. Intense aroma and flavor equally intense that make it the best! Highly recommended!
