In order to increase the CBD content of this kush hybrid, CBD Kush was developed. This variety can be difficult to grow because the plants are so susceptible to mold and mildew. The best strategy to grow this strain is to keep it in a restricted atmosphere. Strain Profile Info
|Strain Parents:||Kandy Kush x Unknown High-CBD strain|
|Flowering Time:||8-10 weeks|
Kandy Kush, a delicious and healing cultivar, has been crossed with an unidentified CBD-rich variant to produce CBD Kush. CBD Kush is an Indica-dominant strain, therefore it has a solid, low-profile structure. Growing this plant is not difficult as long as the risk of contamination or environmental disruptions is properly addressed. It has many characteristics with its mother cultivar, Kandy Kush, such as its growth pattern, earthy flavor, and sweet flowery aroma.
The scent is essentially the same, a hearty, calm, unassuming aroma with a hint of pleasantness. The long, thick, foxtail-shaped nugs of this flower are hefty, dense, and neon green. A thick layer of delicious resin that is sticky is present on top. A pungent, earthy flavor that is immediately noticeable characterizes CBD Kush. Sweet floral undertones and woodsy overtones accentuate it. Even after the last hit, a nutty aftertaste lingers in the mouth. CBD Kush distinguishes itself from other strains by having huge, nearly spherical buds. The leaves firmly coil inward toward the center stems, and the huge flowers cling in a bud form resembling that of an Indica. On the leaves themselves, the pistils are twisted and rusty in hue.
It is the perfect plant for indoor culture because it has small internodes and is just 3 to 4 feet tall. Accelerating the blooming time was one of the primary goals in breeding this cultivar. The plant’s DNA makes it a naturally quick grower, so it blooms in 8 to 10 weeks. Consistently manicure the fan leaves for maximum productivity so that light can reach the lowest flowering nodes. Moreover, increasing ventilation in areas of dense foliage prevents the spread of mold. If privacy is a concern, carbon filters will need to be fitted to eliminate the potent scent of the buds. The Sea of Green technique comes highly recommended for a substantial yield. Dense, bright green nugs with vibrant amber pistils and a sticky covering of icy trichomes should be expected to yield between 1.40 and 1.60 ounces per square foot. CBD Kush may also grow outside in a warm, Mediterranean climate. With plenty of sunlight, it will be able to maximize growth and resin production and reach its full potential. Each plant outside can produce up to 22 to 27 ounces by the middle of October. It’s best to choose a location that is remote because nearby neighbors might not like the potent aroma.
The flowering period for CBD Kush lasts nine weeks, and the plant only grows to a height of about 100 cm. Although she is a cross between Sativa and Indica genetics, she grows more in an Indica fashion.
Pure CBD or hemp strains are any that contain less than 0.3 percent THC. But if the THC content is greater than 0.3 percent, the strain is either pure THC or a hybrid. Remember that certain potent cannabis strains might have THC levels that are up to and even above 20% and almost no CBD.
Sativa plants often have more THC than CBD in them, but Indica plants typically have more CBD than THC.
