Marijuana Plant Problems: Identifying and Fixing

Marijuana Plant

In marijuana cultivation, every cannabis plant can show a tale concerning the present shape of the weed. Marijuana plant problems frequently appear in pretty clear directions. For example, yellow leaves on your plant can show a nutrient deficiency. You might notice some low humidity effects in your cultivation like delayed germination in new weed seeds.

Fortunately, these issues can be resolved, provided you discover them quickly enough.

Marijuana Plant Problems

Heat Stress

The most natural obstacle you need to overcome is heat stress. This dilemma is characterized by the browning or discoloration of the leaves nearest to the source of light. It usually begins from a narrow border around the side of the leaf. The sections that are nearest to the light source frequently seem blistered.

This can happen in various means. Normally, it happens when a weed is put extremely near to the light. It happens less often outdoors when the weather condition is warm, particularly when a small amount of water is provided.

Lessening the heat that directly hits your plant is the answer to these marijuana plant problems. Think about building a shade and just giving more water when gardening outdoors. It may be trickier growing weeds inside your house. Usually, the most straightforward answer is by adding a tiny ventilator blowing on the crowns of the weeds. Likewise, altering the position of the light source can efficiently eradicate this problem. Another essential way to eliminate the warm air from your indoor grow space is by utilizing an exhaust fan.

We suggest that you supplement your plants with seaweed juice to further replace lost nourishments as your weeds are still recovering. Some growers believe that this can likewise counteract heat stress on the side. Fostering these weeds is indeed crucial.

Pests and Molds

Problems involving the flowers are normally connected to one of several troubles that can threaten the cannabis harvest. These problems are caused by viruses, pests, and mold.

Pests include thrips, whiteflies, mites, and aphids. A majority of these can be eliminated by sprinkling the weed with a water and pesticide solution. An early finding of the pest attack is essential in spraying this solution at the right time in order to stop your cannabis plants from suffering.

Mold is a huge addition to the problem. There are typically two kinds of mildew. The first one, identified as bud rot or grey mold, is hopeless. The second one, identified as white powdery mold, can effortlessly be washed out with water if you’re lucky enough to catch it early on. Diseased embryones must be eliminated. Maintain humidity at low levels to stop mold build-up.

Nutrient Deficiencies

A natural phenomenon when growing marijuana, or any weed for that concern, is lack of nourishment. Luckily, the symptoms are clearly visible. Because of that, regulating it is by no means uncontrollable. The following are the usual types of nutrient deficiencies:

  • Boron deficiency – More current germination is compact and has strange appearance, with brown spots and yellowing
  • Calcium deficiency – Yellowing stalks that appear empty and with brown spots
  • Copper deficiency – Higher leaves burnt with tops and sides becoming yellow
  • Zinc deficiency – Higher leaves becoming greenish-yellow
  • Sulfur deficiency – Lower leaves becoming yellow from the root up to the tips
  • Potassium deficiency – Yellow within smaller vessels with yellow or brown ends
  • Phosphorous deficiency – Dark and yellowing spots emerge on leaves that fall away
  • Nitrogen deficiency – Lower leaves dropping and turning yellow
  • Manganese deficiency – Leaves turning yellow within veins with brown splotches
  • Magnesium deficiency – Lower leaves with earliest germination turn yellow within veins
  • Iron deficiency – Top inner leaves turning white and yellow

Low Humidity

Along with an irrigated soil, marijuana plants like moderately wet conditions. This liquidity enables the weed to absorb water within the stomas or the tiny spaces located beneath the cannabis leaf.

The optimal relative humidity is 70% for immature weeds. This quantity guarantees that the weed can absorb lots of water without needing to depend on its root system. Notably, delayed plant germination is among the typical signs of low humidity in marijuana.

Contrastingly, the weed will absorb less water within its roots in case the humidity is left too high, which causes fewer nourishments for the bush. After the juvenile plant’s germination flare, you need to lessen the relative humidity in the grow space by approximately 40% or perhaps around 5% weekly for a growing weed to flower.

The bright side is that when recognized earlier, this disease can effortlessly be handled. The initial step in handling this is to know the water level of the growing medium. Just examine the water in hydroponics. Examine the water entering and dropping and equalize them to have an approximately same amount with hand watering systems.

The next move is to gradually change the pH accurately to an ideal level. Combine the entire nourishments. Then utilizing a pH kit, examine and adjust the pH level of the water. It must be within 5.5 and 6.5 for a hydroponic system. Meanwhile, it must be within 6.2 and 7.0 for soil-grown systems.

Watering Issues

To thrive healthily, marijuana plants require a particular amount of water. Overwatering makes the roots decay. Underwatering creates other problematic matters. Despite the issue, a speedy response should be exercised to protect the weed.

Some initial symptoms of root decay include fast drying roots with dangling brown specks. The most common sign, though, is a foul, muddy brown root.

Root decay is a hard matter to work with. Several individuals recommend ditching the weed and making a fresh start. Aquasheild is a known product that has been effective in handling this situation. During the healing process, fresh, white rootlets will start to develop.

Underwatering manifests first with drooping or wilting. Also, the culture medium will be dried out. Water your weed appropriately to fix this issue.

Nutrient Burn

Particularly among new farmers, another typical issue is nutrient burn. Frequently, this happens when an excessive agriculture solvent is used. The roots absorb much more nourishments than the weed can actually utilize. It can likewise happen when the weeds are planted in a fresh fertilizer compost or other means that are abundant in nourishments.

This issue can be fixed by reducing the nourishment level in the liquid in a hydroponic network. This can be achieved in a couple of steps. One method is to gradually reduce the liquid by supplementing a clear, pH-controlled solution.

This is a simpler dilemma in a hand water network. The network must be washed with a huge amount of pH-controlled solution. At one point, you are advised to stop supplementing nourishments. Put everything on hold until the nourishments are fully utilized by the plant.

Cultivating marijuana is a portion of the game in a marijuana consumer’s life, although the occurrence of marijuana plant problems can be tough. Occasionally, the harm created cannot be just daunting or depressing; it can likewise prompt one to stop planting at all.

Marijuana cultivation needs devotion through relentless efforts and studying. With the necessary information, these obstacles are not just identified. They also can be stopped from happening altogether.
